Privacy

This site is a set of static pages. There is no account to create, no form to submit and no database holding anything about you. We don’t ask for your name, email address, registration number or VIN, and the two tools run entirely in your browser — nothing you type into them is sent to us.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to count visits to servicerecordindex.org. Plausible is cookieless and does not collect or store personal data or track you across sites or over time. It records aggregate figures — page views, referrer, country, browser, device type — and nothing that identifies an individual.

Alongside page views we record a small number of named events so we can tell which parts of the index are actually useful: sorting the comparison table, copying a citation, completing a tool, and following a link out to FindServiceHistory. These are counts of actions, not records of people; no identifier is attached to them.

Cookies

We set no cookies, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Links to other sites

We link out to manufacturer portals, GOV.UK, regulators and other published sources, and to FindServiceHistory, whose team maintains this index. Once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies — we have no visibility of what you do there beyond the fact that a click happened.

Hosting

The site is served as static files from a commercial CDN, which processes standard server request data (such as IP address) transiently in order to deliver the page. We hold no server logs of our own.
